In a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue, the starter solenoid typically has three main connections: the large terminal connects to the battery positive cable, which delivers power; the smaller terminal connects to the ignition switch wire, which activates the solenoid; and the third terminal is usually connected to the starter motor itself. Ensure that all connections are secure and that the battery is disconnected before working on the starter system to avoid any electrical hazards. Always refer to a repair manual for specific wiring details.
