there are good and bad benefits. Mainly the bad are they won't be be as social intune with the children of their age, it's very diffucult to socialize ( usually can talk to other adults fine thou) And, a big one, they will fight with the parents a lot more rather than a brother or sister. But wait, there are still good things yet, your child will be around adults more and will know how to socialize on a personal level better, obvoisly, it would be cheaper. And your child will have a better understanding of live in general. I would know this because I'm a only child in process of becoming an adult. My recomendation to you, see were you are financial first to see if you are finacially structured to do this and if you are, then I recomend having two, an odd number in the house just makes things worst in my opinion. Have fun and to the best of luck to you and your future family

The killing of the female babies because they can't work on the farm as good would be considered a pretty big problem. Not to mention in China the young men have no women.
