Pro: When You Are Writing A Essay You Don't Have To Drag A Heavy Typewriter In Or Sit There All Day Writing It On A Piece Of Paper .
Pro: When You Make A Mistake You Just Press Backspace. Before Computers Were Invented You Would Have To Rub It Out Or Use Wite Out But Now You Just Press Backspace
Con: The more you use the computer to type an essay, etc. the less practice you're doing to improve your penmanship because you aren't used to writing so much.
Con: You spend too many hours sitting in front of the computer, you start to become sidetracked (targeted towards students and their homework!)

∙ 7y agoThere are both pros and cons to programming. Programming can be fun and you will be able to make a lot of things. You will need to learn a lot of things on your own, school can't teach you step by step.

example: play games, write papers, do online research, connect and talk with friends, check your mail, send work to people, etc.
cons: if you want a fast computer, it's gonna cost you money. the programs also
cost money.
opinion: if you don't have a computer, buy one. it will make your life easier. sure, you'll put some money into it, but once you get the hang of using one, it's all worth it in the end...

∙ 7y agoA computer scientist is in high demand and will have lucrative salaries to match that demand. With enough work, they have a great chance to develop world changing applications that will affect the world over as the technology has become so pervasive in today's tech-centric world. The downsides are that they are usually considered to be in the "highbrow" group included to spend their time reading and developing their intellect. This leaves seldom free time for a social life. As a result they may find it difficult to fit in. However, this is not black and white. As a former computer science student, I have met some really down to earth outgoing computer science types.
