The Registry is a database that stores your computer hardware,software,security,user settings or profiles,and property settings for folders and programs. When you perform a normal full boot of your computer,Windows process the information in the Registry to properly configure your computer. It's also important to note that if you open and make a change to the Registry, Windows does not warn you if the change you made in incorrect.
