Internal audits are undertaken by a a company to make sure they are compliant with their own policies andprocedures and those of any parner organisations they have contracts with. Its considered good practice and makes it possible to find shortfalls before external audits are undertaken. The outcomes are normally used to inform QDPs (Quality Development Plans)
