The Army TMDE program is charged with maintaining electronic, radiological, and physical measurement standards and equipment used by the Army.

In other words, it makes sure that important pieces of test equipment, like the stuff used to fix hospital equipment, aircraft and their instruments, communications gear, and even gas pumps and weight scales all give correct measurements when they are used.

Imagine if a torque wrench used on a squadron of helicopters was improperly calibrated and nuts and bolts weren't as tight as they should be. Army Calibrators keep this from happening.
