You are confusing terms.
An acceleration is a change in velocity not necessarily an increase in velocity, it is a change.
A change in velocity is brought about by a force acting upon a body.

There are several terms for the time derivative of acceleration. Jerk is probably the most common, but jolt, surge, and lurch are also sometimes used.

Since velocity is a vector, it's confusing to state that it "increases". It's absolute value (i.e., the speed) can increase or decrease.
