At the surface:

1) The temperature can reach up 450°C

2) There is no oxygen.

3) The pressure is ninety times as great as on Earth.

== == While the temperature and pressure on the surface are far just too great for colonization, there is an area 50km above the surface where the temperature and pressure are Earth-like, the winds circle the planet in 100-hour "days", and the gravity is just less than earth-like. Because the gases there are heavier than Earth's atmosphere, there is the possibility of "floating cities" kept in place and following the prevailing winds much like present day hot air balloons.

Your bubble wouldn't need to be incredibly strong, but it would need to be resistant to sulfuric acid. And you would need oxygen and food starting with materials shipped form Earth. In return, you could use abundant solar energy and sulfuric acid as resources for your own industries.

See the Wikipedia article on the Colonization of Venus for more information.

It is to hot in the day time and way to cold in the night
we can't live on Mercury because it is either way too hot or too cold, depending on location, as well as having no atmosphere, and no air. it has no oxygen, carbon, anything. and any gases we put on it would evaoprate into space because, again, mercury has no atmosphere. it also has no water.
I wouldn't say can't; we could live on Mercury if we really wanted to, but it would be very expensive. Mercury is excessively hot, and has no atmosphere. We would need to take our own air with us and have really good air conditioning systems, among other problems.
The planet Mercury? The first thing that comes to my mind is the temperature: -183 °C to 427 °C but you can read some more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_(planet)

We can not live on Mercury and Venus because they are to close to the Sun, and because they don't have the same atmosphere like we do here on earth.
