Each animal has a vital part in our ecosystem. The animal could be pray, or food, for another animal. The animal could be a predator, or a hunter, of other animals. Lets say that mice went extinct right now. Think of how many animals relied on the mice. It could be a hawks main food source. The hawks would then die if the could not find other food. What animals relied on those hawks? Maybe the pumas or other, bigger, hawks. If the hawks died, us humans could have a loss of a main food source. Thus, many humans who needed the hawks would die. Without animals, the entire ecosystem would collapse.

Animals effect the enviorment by producing oxygen. Most people know the effect of photosythesis, on the plants and trees. Also, their feces offers a natural fertilizer, that improves and helps the growth of trees and plants. Plus, once they are dead their carcasses provide food for scavengers, and bacteria and fungi, by eating the carcass it helps break down the body into the soil, providing another form of fertilizer. In addition, all of the living creatures all benifit each other, like how the grass benifits a deer, which benifits a wolf, which benifits the bacteria and fungi, which the benifite grass seeds, that grow to be eaten by herbavores. As you see each animal benifits another in a vast way

Hawaiian monk seals are found in the northwest part of the Hawaiian Islands. They spend a lot of time at sea sometimes as long as a month. They are able to dive 600 feet deep, and can stay under water for up to 20 minutes. They eat fish, octopus, eels and lobsters. Adults have gray to brownish fur, grow up to seven feet long, and weigh between 400 and 600 pounds. They can live as long as 30 years. These seals are born on land. Every year, usually in May or June, females find sandy beaches and give birth to a single pup. Sharks are natural predators to the monk seals. The female seals avoid beaches where the water becomes deep very quickly because this lets sharks swim close to land and catch the seals. Mothers take care of their pups for six weeks. During that entire time, they do not leave the beach even to eat. Instead, they live off of fat that they have stored up over the previous year and feed their pups with a fat rich milk. Usually seals can be found with their pups on very remote beaches. However, recent births have been reported in the main Hawaiian Islands including Oahu, Kawai and Molokai. Human disturbance has been identified as the primary factor in the decline of the species. In fact, if humans come too near a mother seal too often, she will abandon her pup and go out to sea. Unfortunately, this usually means death for the pup. It is now against the law for people to come within 100 yards of a seal on a beach to help prevent abandonment of pups. After six weeks, the mother leaves her pup on the beach and the young seal must go out to sea and start to find food for itself.

Animals eat, don't they? So they eat either meat or plants. Plants are part of the ecosystem, right? So when an animal eats them, it tends to go away. Same with meat. Some animals eat meat, so the meat goes away into the animal's stomach. Sometimes, that will get rid of a species. That will then cause a gap in the food chain, causing other animals to resort down to eat a different animal.

Hope I helped! :)

The cause erosion, and more. As you can imagine, a desert, or forest is a lot different with biotic factors living in it. They feed off of plants, their dead carcuses decompose in the ground! Imagine the difference if their were no animals. There wouldn`t even be plants! For that matter, there would be less soil. Remember: Animals eat, breathe, sleep, and produce the way we do. They add and take things away from their habitats. The ecosystem changes because of the people who dont care and some is because of their works.Ecosystem because of climate, not enough living materials and species invading or taking over
