The numbers 1-9 have to be in each bix, row and column. So if you have one with 8 numbers, you can work out the last one. And you can see where a number goes in a box if it's in that row or column, you can't put it in that row or column in the box.

The basic rules of Sudoku are as follows: 1) there are 9 rows found in the typical Sudoku puzzle. Every row must contain only one of each number from 1-9. 2) there are also 9 columns in the usual Sudoku puzzle. Just like the rows, each column must contain one and only one of the numbers 1-9. 3) Lastly, there are regions. A region is a 3x3 box. Just like rows and columns, each region must contain one and only one of the numbers 1-9.

To complete the game in Sudoku, each column, square and row must have the numbers 1 to 9. No numbers can be repeated otherwise you can't complete the game.
