Fireheart begins to think that Bluestar's leadership is ebbing away.
Graystripe and Silverstream's kits were born, Silverstream dies, and he goes to live with them in RiverClan because he doesn't feel trusted in ThunderClan

∙ 12y agoBasically, chapter 1 is about Rusty finally going into the woods, after longing to do it after a long time.
On his trek Into the Woods he is attacked by a cat. He tries to outrun him but he realizes it is no use. He turns and faces his opponent. The other cat is caught by surprise and is knocked back, with all signs of hostility gone.
He says his name is Graypaw. He talks to Rusty about life in the 4 Clans. He smells his leader and Lionheart, a clan cat, and he tells Rusty to go but it is too late. They catch him.
The leader, Bluestar, tells Rusty that she often sees him sitting on his fence looking into the woods. He says that he just came to taste a mouse then he'll be on his way. Bluestar says that her clan needs the food and that "He threatens their existence by taking their food." Then he wonders if they're "gonna finish what Graypaw started".
