Simply press command + the letter O. This shortcut will open a window in which you will be able to navigate to your file.

There are many keyboard shortcuts. Press the command key and:

s to save

p to print

c to copy

v to paste

x to cut (delete to clipboard)

z to undo what you just did such as you accidentally put something in the trash or cut something you still want.

b for BOLD

i for ITALICS

u for underline

In many applications command + or - will change the screen view. In others command and > or < will do that.

In a Finder window, press a key that is the first letter of the file you want. The Finder will jump to that part of the alphabet.

Use the arrow keys to select a file. Press command and down arrow to open it. If it is a folder, the folder will open.

In Finder press command and ' to look through all the open windows.

If you select all the files in a folder with command A, you can open them all at once with command down arrow. If you do this with folders in a list, they will all open. To close the folders that are selected press command left arrow.

To close all open windows in the Finder, hold the option key and close any window by clicking on the red dot.

In system prefs use Exposé and Spaces so you can set screen corners to change the display to show all windows or all spaces, or start the screen saver or show the desktop.

Experiment and get it just the way you want it.
