Worship is important to Christians because they see it as a time in which they can proclaim the goodness of God and, most commonly, sing about their thankfulness to God for their salvation, their joy at being in God's family and tell God how they are feeling; discouraged, sad, stressed, happy. Worship is also seen as a way of giving something back to God for all that he has given us. It is like a gift that we can choose to give God.

There is no real answer to this. Christians worship God and Jesus and Hindus worship a plethora of gods, one god, or no gods at all.
Christians do not "use" the crucifix to worship. It is a symbol for the cross, which is important to Christianity because Jesus died on the cross to save us all from sin. It simply represents a Christian's faith in Jesus Christ.
