Only liquid. Gas never has a definite volume. Both will always take the shape of their container though.
A liquid
A liquid is a definite volume that will take the shape of it's container.

WATER has no definite shape but has definite volume.
Gas
A liquid has a definite volume (which can change with temperature), but takes the shape of its container.A Liquid is the state that has no definite shape, since the atoms can move around, it is therefore able to form itself to the shape of its container. However, since the atoms still have weak bonds to one another, it cannot fill up a closed container by stretching out the atoms. (The form of matter that does this is a gas.)* Liquids can be very slightly compressed, but not to the extent of gases.---There are 3 phases of matter. Solids, liquids and gases. Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume. Liquids do not have a definite shape but do have a definite volume. Gases do not have a definite shape as they can "flow", and they do not have a definite volume as they can fill a container by changing in pressure (density).LiquidLiquidA liquid has a definite volume but assumes the shape of any container which it is placed into.
A liquid. A gas has no definite volume, as it's volume is whatever the volume of the container it is in happens to be. A solid, by it's nature of being solid, will not take on the shape of it's container.
Solids have a definite shape and volume. Liquids have a definite volume, but no definite shape - they take the shape of their container. Gases have no definite volume and no definite shape - they expand to fill their entire container.
That is called a liquid.
The type of matter with a definite volume but no fixed shape is a liquid. In a gas, there is no definite volume or shape, and in a solid there is a fixed shape and definite volume. A liquid is free to adopt of shape of its container, but its volume is fixed.
liquid has a definite volume and takes on the shape of its container.
Liquid has no definite shape, it takes the shape of it's container.
Liquid is the state of matter that takes the shape of it's container and flows.
The gas is the state of matter which do not have definite volume because it occupy all the space which is provided to it and the shape of container in which it is kept.
Water does not have a definate shape or volume because it takes the shape of any container it is put into.
Liquids have no definite volume or shape and take the shape of their containers.
Liquid. You can measure the exact volume of a liquid but you can put it into containers that changes the shape of the liquid.
