Will a hot oil treatment kill head lice?
Apparently head lice can survive up to just over 50c. 1st degree burns start at 50c -> 60c. So.. if it is so hot that you can just about stand it WITHOUT burning yourself, and the temperature is maintained for a good few minutes, then yes you might kill a few of them. Far simpler to get a proper solution though, and definitely less potential for pain! And head lice are VERY hard to suffocate, they go into this suspended state when submerged...
