The show is based off the teachings of Jesus in the book of Matthew. The cast act out the parables and Judas betrays Jesus and they crucify Him on a chain link fence. And they sing and act crazy and it's awesome.
It is a play which tells the gospel (derived from the word godspell) of Jesus Christ in a modern urban setting.
