When you start watching it, it will all come together and youll understand it. It is when Inuyasha at the beinning wants the jewl fragment and kikyo has it, Then kikyo dies and kagome is born. Kagome shatters the jewel with an arrow trying to get it back. So the whole series they are trying to get it back. Narku gets it first but is killed. Sorry for spoiling it'll all flow when you start.Inuyasha is about Higurashi Kagome, after being pulled down a well by a demon, finds herself in Feudal Japan, where she learns that a powerful jewel has been reborn inside her body. After the jewel shatters in an attempt to retrieve it from one of the many demons who was after its power, Kagome must join forces with the half-demon Inu Yasha (also after the jewel's power) to track down the shards of the jewel before its power falls into the wrong hands.Sorry for spoiling to everyone who's gonna watch Inuyasha.

Well Kagome goes through the well to the past aura.She finds Inuyasha's body on the tree while being chased by a demon.Kagome sets Inuyasha free and he runs off.When she finds him again Kykyo's little sister puts an obedient necklace on him.And Kagome is told to say some words to inprison him.Kagome says "Sit boy" because he looks like a dog.Then they get the necklace that the demons are after.Kagome shatters it and they must go and get those shards before they get in the hands of evil.

They meet Sango,Shippo,Mirroko,and Kelala along the way.

Inuyasha? You mean, what's the story about?

Inuyasha is the story of a dog half demon who was after the Shikon Jewel (shikon no tama) which can give demons amazing power. This jewel was protected by a priestess named Kikyo.

After trying to snatch away the jewel from Kikyo for some time, they (inuyasha and kikyo) became attracted to each other and soon fell in love. But because of a misunderstanding (I won't say what kind of misunderstanding was that... you've got to read or watch it by yourself), they thought one had betrayed another and it resulted Kikyo's death and Inuyasha was sealed on a tree by Kikyo (He wasn't death, he was put into a supposed to be eternal sleep).anyway, the shikon jewel was burnt with kikyo and vanished.

50 years later..

In the modern day, there's this junior high school girl named Kagome, she appeared to be Kikyo's rencarnation. note: her family manages a shrine

One day, when her cat fell into the ancient well (? not sure) she wanted to pick the cat (It was supposed to be her li'l bro but he was afraid). Suddenly a demon came out of the well and pulled her into the well.

Unexpectedly, she traveled back to the feudal era, 50 years after Kikyo's death.
