Ufologist. Please note that "UFO" is not an acronym for "alien spacecraft". No UFO ever, has been proven to be an alien spacecraft. In fact, at this time the existence of aliens is not proven. They seem likely, but some race in the universe has to be the first, and we don't know that we aren't it.
The ones who study UFOs are called Ufologist. They study every thing about unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

The name of the scientific study of "hidden" animals such as Big Foot, the Lochness Monster, etc., is Cryptozoology. Study of the possibility of life thriving on other planets in the universe is called Astrobiology.

Well, there are real things that appear to be flying that couldn't be identified; that's why they're called UFOs (Unidentified Flying Objects). Some are later identified. There has never yet been actual proof that UFOs come from anywhere but earth.
Where humans and alcohol are, UFOs will be.
I don't know about all governments but the US government claims to have no knowledge of UFOs or alien beings. But UFOlogists (people that study UFOs) have classified 4 distinctly different types of aliens.
