Its great, It is the most popular SSRI (Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitor. Sertraline (Zoloft) is quite a general drug and works with most Major Depression Disorders (MDD) and even Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). With its success in MDD it also can relax generalised anxiety disorder.
I too am i teenager and i was on 50mg of Sertraline and i found it was so effective and i owe every bit of respect to this amazing drug for making my life full of happiness again. Although i was on a weak dose it is still effective.
My doctor changed me to Pristiq 200mg, which I'm only a couple of weeks into and finding its quite effective but still waiting for the full results. The reason for the change was that i found after lengthy periods of time the body almost gets immune to the effects and i would feel my MDD getting worse. Even with this Zoloft has a couple of lets say mild side effects which is it ruins your sex drive, makes you more hungry and can bring on Insomnia. These side effects may not be the case for all people.
I definitely recommend to start on Zoloft and give it a good go!
No, the depression rate of teen has gone down in the last ten years. I don't know why, sorry!
People can suffer from depression at any age, but I presume it is not correct to describe it as 'teen depression' unless you are teenaged.
It is rare, but some teens get a condition called teen depression. It's kinda like depression for adults. I have teen depression and you can take pills for itfrom the doctor if it is teen depression.
Symptoms for teen depression are very similar to the symptoms for adult depression. Withdral from people and things that they usually associate with is one symptom.
Depression in teens can get very serious. I remember when I had depression, it got as far as suicide pacts. If you know a teen that has depression, call a doctor and have them tested. Don't be afraid to get the teen mad because in the end, he/she will be very happy.
The teen pregnancy rate for the U.S.A is 22 pregnancies out of every 1,000 girls.
being a teen, there are too many changes and often no power to affect any of them
no i dont but i guess if something bad was to happen i would it just depends on what kind of person you are or how your family is. You are the only person that can make your self go in depression as a teen.
The average age for teenage depression is around 14 years old!
