The Ecologist's Best Guess: Ostriches eat grass, and warthogs eat insects and the roots of grassland plants. When foraging, warthogs (like barnyard pigs) churn up the soil and make plants more accessible to the ostriches. In turn, the ostrich can see a long way off and the warthog has very bad vision. Probably the ostrich watches for predators and alerts the warthog if they are near so that both animals may escape. This relationship is an example of mutualism, a kind of symbiosis (interaction of different species) in which both organisms benefit from the relationship.
The symbiotic relationship is of mutual benefit. The Oxpecker rides on the Warthog's head and eats bugs that live on it. The Oxpecker gets food and a free ride. the Warthog gets grooming.
A young warthog is called a piglet.

Warthogs would consider man to be unpleasant and to be avoided
If the man is unarmed, likily the warthog unless the man can get to a place the warthog can't reach him. A warthog on the rut can easily kill a man with its sharp tusks and sharp hooves. However, a man with a sharp hunting knife would be able to kill the warthog if he was not gored by the warthog's tusks. If the man had no weapons, he would be hopeless against such a fierce pig beast. With a hunting rifle or a cross bow, the warthog would stand a little chance against the man.
