Taiga is the largest continental biome. It experiences long, cold winters; short, mild summers; and low precipitation. It is characterized by coniferous forests. Taiga covers most of Canada and Siberia. Taiga is not found in the Southern Hemisphere.
yes. deforestation is currently the largest concern for taiga. especially clearcutting, since it leaves large exposed areas of soil. taiga have thin, nutrient-poor soils, as well as a lot of precipitation, so the clearcut area is quickly subject to soil erosion.
Grasslands, rainforests, the taiga, savanna and some other biomes receive more precipitation than the desert.
Increase in temperature Increase in precipitation Change towards hardwood trees
there is some precipitation (12-33 inches) some melting snow. other than this, the average annual rainfall is very little. the taiga biome is right under the tundra biome, so its not a big surprise that the taiga biome is harsh...
Taiga is another word for the Boreal Forest Biome, which consists of coniferous trees and evergreens. So I suppose a coniferious forest would fall under the Boreal Forest Biome; which is also called the Taiga. So yes, a coniferous forest is the same as the Taiga.
Taiga is a biome so i am guessing that it is a parasite that lives in Taiga
