What is the techno capital of the world?

With a worldwide reputation for blatant hedonism and the best techno anywhere, Berlin's massive club, Berghain is often considered the techno capital of the world. Located in East Berlin, Berghain is housed in an abandoned power plant that now holds 1,400 people at capacity. Clubgoers are dressed down electronic music lovers and the bouncers keep a pretty good ratio of straight/gay in the crowd. But don't be put off if a sudden orgy breaks out.

Tip: Getting in can be a challenge, especially for obnoxious foreigners speaking English. For best results, keep it cool, don't dress business-like and get there early (before 1:30 a.m.) or late (around 9 a.m.)
