It's called the boiling point.

It is the temp where the vapor pressure of the "liquid" is equal to the air pressure around (above) it.

This is when the liquid [water] reaches 100 degrees Cecilius [at sea level].

The boiling point is when the saturated vapour pressure of a liquid is the same as atmodpheric pressure. Quoted boiling points refer to an atmospheric pressure of 1 bar.

At lower atmospheric pressures liquids boil at lower temperatures.

There is therefore not one single temperature. A generic name for the boiling point is the saturation temperature.

I'm afraid that answer rather contradicts itself.

The boiling-point of a liquid is at a temperature set by the pressure acting upon it, either above or below atmospheric pressure. The higher the pressure the higher the boiling point.

When a cold temperature is added to a liquid it turns to gas?

First you can not add a cold temperature to anything. Ask your teacher to explain what heat is an what temperature is, because you clearly do not understand this. When a liquid BOILS - it turns into gas. When a liquid FREEZES - it turn into a solid.

What is a boiling point of substance?

The temperature at which it turns into a gas (usually the temperature when the liquid phase "bubbles" and vaporizes) also the temperature where the gas phase condenses to a liquid.

Is wax a solid liquid or gas?

That depends upon temperature and pressure. At room temperature and sea level pressures, most waxes are solid or if you melt it it turns in to a liquid but if you put it at 100 degrees it turns in to gas.
