There is no such medical name for it that I could find however everyone is calling it Scab Picking Disorder.
Another meaning of a scab is a person who continues to work during a strike. So my best guess is a scab was fired because they were participating in a strike.
A clean surgical wound which has been stapled will heal faster because: a)Surgical incision is non-contaminated & chances of infection setting in are lower. b)A large gap exists between edges in a laceration which is first filled up with blood clot. This gradually shrinks as a scab and skin edges slowly grow together to meet. This takes a much longer time. c)A ragged laceration usually has non viable & dead tissue which needs to be removed by phagocytosis before new tissue can be laid down & healing can start.
A scab
No but if you pick it the scab will be a scar
The polish word for scab is strup
Someone had a scab which turned into a scar
Not being of the medical communmity, this first answer will be from the viewpoint of a layman, and will be best answered with a example. Imagine a wound which is beginning to skin over, but has not yet formed a hard scab. If one scrapes or removes that seal forming pre scab material, then that action is called exacerbation. In non medical use, the term exacerbation means to do something which irratates or makes a situation worse.
Scar tissue is formed under the scab.
Have you ever had a scab? Its like that, only instead of the red blood cells clotting on the outside, they mess up and do it inside.
