Solomon puts it very well when it says: " The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the [true] God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole [obligation] of man. "(Ecclesiastes 12:13)

Micah agreed when he said: "God has told you, O earthling man, what is good. And what is he asking back from you but to exercise justice and to love kindness and to be modest in walking with your God?"(Micah 6:8) 8

Jesus said the same thing with more detail when he said: "'You must love God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.' 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this, 'You must love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets."

But HOW do we 'keep his commands' or "Walk with God' or 'Love God and our neighbor'?

Right now, God's will for man is:

-'take in knowledge' of God and his son (John 17:3),

-meet together with others of like faith to build ourselves up (Hebrews 10:24&25)

-preach to unbelievers, teaching them about his coming Kingdom and his promise of a paradise earth soon to come. (Matthew 24:14, Matthew 28:19&20, Psalms 37:10&11)

ULTIMATELY the Lord's will for mankind" is the same as it always was....

Man was created to live on this earth, to take care of it and it's creatures and to love God and eachother, to have children and fill the earth with happy, loving people. If Adam and Eve had done that, and remained obedient to their creator, they'd still be here on earth, in perfect health and happiness, along with an earthwide perfect human race. (Isaiah 45:18) (Acts 17:26)Genesis 1:26-28, (Genesis 2:15-17)

Isaiah 55:11 reminds us that what God purposes WILL come true, and nothing can stand in his way.
