Best Answer

it is the rate at which electric charges pass though a conductor. The charged particle can be either positive or negative.

In order for a charge to flow, it needs a push (a force) and it is supplied by voltage, or potential difference. The charge flows from high potential energy to low potential energy.

What kind of electricity is static electricity?

Charge (electrons) that do not flow.

What is the common definition of electricity?

Is a flow of electric charge

What is the example of electricity?

The flow of electrons or the existence of a static charge.

When did you refer to electricity as current?

Current is the rate of flow of electric charge.

Is electricity same to lighting?

yes.bcos Lightining is flow of charge [electrons]

How are electricity and static electricity different?

none, except:static electricity is electric charge without current flow, usually induced by friction between two different insulating materials.dynamic electricity is electric charge with current flow.when static electricity is discharged it is no longer static, as there is current flow during the discharge.

Can you put electricity in a jar?

No, electricity cannot be put in a jar. Electricity is the flow of electric charge through a conductor, and it requires a complete circuit to flow. You can store electrical energy in a battery or capacitor, but you cannot store the flow of electricity itself in a jar.

Electricity is stored electrical charge electricity is the actual flow of electrons?

Electricity is the flow if electrons. Volts is the force per charge. Amps is the speed of the electrons. A battery acts like a pump pushing around electrons already in the wires so it doesnt provide them.

Why can't static charge be used to operate an electrical device?

Static charge does not provide a steady flow of electricity.

1 A material that allows the flow of charges through it?

flow of charge can be taken as flow of electricity(because it's basically flow of electrons). so answer to this question is "conductor of electricity" like wire etc. "Atul ashish"

How do you produce the electricity by magnets?

By creating a difference in potential. Charge will flow in those conditions.

What charged particle produces the flow of electricity?

Anything that carries and/or can transport charge.
