Realistically, no conspirators are secretly running the world; if they were, the world would be much better run, rather than being the chaotic mess that it is. The Illuminati were a medieval Bavarian mystical cult, whose lingering reputation is tremendously exaggerated, and there is far too little order in the world to suggest that there is such a thing as a New World Order.
