What is the ultimate goal of Christianity?

The definition of Christian means to be Christ like. So as a whole Christians should be following the example of Jesus. But many who claim to be followers of Jesus refuse to listen to what he tells us and be obedient. Sad!

To convert as many 'non-believers' as possible by any means necessary, in order to gain favor with their god and secure a nice 'plot of land' in their heaven.

It is the same for all mankind just that many do not understand or know it yet. Salvation - eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Many falsely believe a 'Christian' or disciple (imitator) of Jesus Christ, is to go on a campaign of converting people to God. But this is not the case. Only the Father calls people to Him through His Christ - the only mediator for all mankind (see John 6:44 repeated for emphasis in verse 65). A Christian is to repent of their sinful ways, seek true baptism, have hands laid upon them to receive the promised gift of God's Holy Spirit, and then follow fully (Imitate) Jesus's life on Earth. There will be many trials for the newly begotten Christian until he/she is born again in the spiritual Kingdom of God (see Acts 14:22). Yet if we seek the Kingdom of God (see Matthew 6:33), and so few truly do in their lifetimes (little flock), God promises to give us the Kingdom (see Luke 12:32).

Jesus Himself, told us to change our present, worldly ways (repent) and believe in the 'Good News' of His Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven (see Mark 1:14-15).
