Predecimal British Pennies could be worth anything from a few Pence to many Pounds depending on the year, their condition and their relative availability.

Valuations for most British Pennies will already appear on WikiAnswers.

Use the question format - "What is the value of a 1902 British Penny?" to find a current valuation for the particular Penny you are interested in.

Please note that any valuation of £0.50 is only a token value to keep the coin on the database.

For that quantity of coins, you would need to consult a coin catalogue. There is insufficient space in this forum to list the various gradings of 60 coins plus their variations.

Alternatively, if you ask a question about one particular year, the answer will already be on Answers.com.

Use this format -

Assuming that they are all British Coins and that they are all circulated but in reasonably good condition -

1900 Penny - £2 to £10 GBP.

1906 Penny - £2 to £18 GBP.

1939 Farthing - not much

1942 Halfpenny - not much

1950 Halfpenny - £1 to £3 GBP.

What are the values of the coins in Change Maker in Nintendo Brain Age 2?

It took me ages to work this out - its an americansm - the coin values go 25 pence 10 pence 5 pence 1 pence I put pence as I find it easier to think in sterling but of course officially its cents - the Americans use 'quarters' ie 25 cent coins where we have 20 p and 50 p coins instead. Makes your brain work even harder as we are not used to the coinage! I was getting really annoyed at not being able to play this game and now I can (badly!)

Bag that contains twenty-pence coinsAltogether you have twelve poundshow many twenty-pence coins is that?

There are 100 pence in a pound So 5 twenty-pence coins make a pound. If there are 12 pounds in the bag, and it only contains twenty-pence coins, then there must be 12 times 5 twenty-pence coins. 12 x 5 = 60 60 twenty-pence coins = £12.00
