There's no such thing as a gold penny. All circulation 1974 cents were struck in bronze. What you probably have is a standard cent that was plated. Private ownership of gold was allowed again in 1974, so a number of companies took cents with that date, gold plated them, and sold them as "collectibles" and mementos of the new law. Unfortunately there's very little collector's market for them unless they're still in their original packaging. Their metal value is even lower - despite today's high metal prices the gold is only worth a few cents and the underlying bronze is maybe 1.5¢
i also found a 1974 gold penny and researched it a bit and found that theres a solution of zinc and drano that can turn a penny gold but i also found that some odd pennies were made in '74 and it could be actual gold or gold plated test it with a magnet and see what happens. Good luck anyway.
Regardless of what country it's from, it's worth 1 penny.
No country makes gold pennies for circulation because they'd be worth 80 or 90 USD. Your coin was either plated or exposed to a chemical that altered its surface color. There are standard high-school chemistry experiments that react with the copper to produce a goldish tint.
Please check your coin with a magnet. The only steel cents were made in 1943. Yours is almost certainly plated.
if its a penny its 1 cent duhhh

A 1973 Lincoln penny if in okay condition is worth about 15 cents in perfect condition around 35 cents. My sources are i found the same penny
My guess would be that it was plated with gold (or a gold-colored metal) after minting, and that it is thus worth about a penny.
There is actually no such thing as a 1973 'silver' penny. However, there are some Lincoln pennies from 1973-74 that have a shiny, silver-like look. These pennies are worth about $1.25.
it's worth the same as the 1973 and 2010 ( Nothing ) well to make a penny cost about 2c. so your penny is worth about .02. I am buying pennies for half a penny
It's currently worth 2 cents for the copper.
1/4 gold selling for in penny weight
Not really worth anything except as a novelty. It was gold plated and dated by a private company to "commemorate" the end of the ban on private ownership of gold bullion.
between £150,000 and £200,000
