what is the value of the four dollar bill of 1778

In fact, the highest value bill ever printed for general use was "only" $10,000. As of May 30, 2009, there were only 336 known and none are in current circulation. In 1934 and 1935 the US printed about 42,000 $100,000 bills for internal use, but these are no longer used and most were destroyed by the Treasury decades ago.
Face value only.
The value of a $5 bill, printed in 1995 with Abraham Lincoln on it, is worth $5. A bill from 1995 is not old enough to be worth anymore than the face value.
The coin, Abraham Lincoln 1861-1863 Gold One Dollar is valued around $20.
