What model what is the sears code and model JC Higgins was a Sears & roebuck brand name They sold guns with this name brand from 1946 to to 1962 depending on the sears code it was made some were in that time period .With out the Sears code no. there is no way to determine value
This is the code number for a "Crosman" model 180 air rifle. Both Crosman and Daisy made air Rifles for Sears under the JC Higgins name.

depends on wich model 583 house brand code J C Higgins/High standard these are very good guns they are worth 100 to150 bucks once again depending on model the model 25 has the highest value Those with 101 vendor code Savage Stevens worth about half of High standard models They were of lessor quality and were not as well made .The Stevens model 87 was sold in huge numbers under various names where the 583 was exclusive product of Sears and were manufactured by high Standard who was owned By Sears and the production of these gun was limited to what sears sold. These gun could not be had from any body els but Sears.

just bought one. nearest ive found was 583.2001 dated nov. of 56
these rifles were made by Marlin 103 vendor code .They are based on the Marlin 80 series rifles .They are one of the better rifles at the time and still are .It should fetch between 75 to 125 dollars depending on condition
i also have one of these sitting in front of me. they are worth around 150-200 dollars. mine is from the circa-1947 era. The Model 60 first appeared in the Sears Catalogs in the Fall/Winter 1955 catalog and the Modle 66 which superceded the model 60 first appeared in the Fall /Winter 1958 catalog. The Model 66 should have an assembly date code on the barrel.
105 is the Sears vendor code for Harrington & Richardson these are quite rare for J C Higgins only a small amonut of 22 rifles and shotgun were bought directly from H&R H&R made many of the model 10 shotguns for High Standard wich was owned by Sears in those days most of thouse guns used 583 House brand number less than 800 guns were bought directly from H&R by Sears in the post war JC Higgins days 105 is the vendor code there should be other numbers these tell you what model the gun is 105 just says that H&R made it value is unknown with out more info
