Please don't assume that because a coin is old it has to be made of silver. All buffalo nickels were struck in the same alloy of 25% nickel and 75% copper that's used for modern nickels.
Buffalo nickels that are so worn their date can't be read are called culls. They sell for 10 to 25 cents each, mostly as curiosities and conversation pieces.
To a collector it is worth $0.05.
The value of any coin depends on the date, mintmark and condition, post new question with more info.
The date is located on the lower left side on the obverse -- right on the Indian's shoulder. The date is often one of the first things to wear off these nickels, and without a date, its value is 10 cents or less.
If it's so worn that the date isn't visible, it's worth its metal value only - about 80¢ if it's an older silver dime, 10¢ if it's a modern copper-nickel dime.
If it has no date, it means that it got worn off.
No Buffalo nickels have silver regardless of date, but the value of a 1935 in average condition is 25 cents
Please don't assume that because a coin is old it has to be made out of silver. Buffalo nickels were issued from 1913 to 1938 and all were struck in an alloy of copper and nickel. There has never been a silver buffalo nickel. If you can see the coin's date on the front, please enter a new question in the form "What is the value of a <date> US nickel" in the large box at the top of the page and click the GO button. (<date> is of course your coin's actual date, like 1920 or 1936) If the date isn't visible on the front (a common problem with buffalo nickels) it's called a "cull" and is worth at most 10 or 15 cents.

It would depend on the date of the Buffalo nickel. Post a new question and include the date and mintmark if there is one.
Buffalo nickels were never made out of silver, only cupronickel. Please post a new question with the coin's date and whether there is a small D or S below the words FIVE CENTS on the back. Without that information it's not possible to determine a value.
There's no coin called a Liberty buffalo nickel. Liberty nickels were minted from 1883 to 1912, and buffalo nickels were made from 1913 to 1938.Please determine your coin's date, then look for questions of the form "What is the value of a US nickel?" for specific information
To a collector it is worth $0.05.
Very simply: All Buffalo nickels, regardless of date, are made of a cupronickel alloy. None of them ever contained silver.
Check that date again, because the last year for buffalo nickels was 1938.
The "f" is not a mintmark but rather an initial. With out a date it is impossible to tell the value of your coin. Most buffalo or Indian head nickels aren't worth much. Post a new question and structure it like this to ensure an answer- "What is the value of a <date> US nickel" or " What is a <date> US nickel worth".
Check your date again. These coins were not made in 1819.
The buffalo nickel had a design flaw which led to the date wearing off easily. Dateless buffaloes are worth about 10 cents, good for use in crafts or jewelry.
