125.00
In good shape it should bring 300 to 375
Depends on the model
I have one, what is the question?
I paid $25.00 for this rifle and I'm going to try to restore it. I need the year it was made before I start so I do not damage the value of it by doing so.
My Springfield model 83 ( J Stevens) is stamped 22 Short, Long and Long Rifle on Barrel. If yours is as well, then yes, it would fire LR rounds.
I would like to know the value of a Springfield 22 short. long or long rifle There are no dates when it was made or no model or serial number just the work challenge ********************** If you write in this box, your question goes to the "already answered" bin- caught it by accident. Rifles with no serial number were made (legally) before 1968, when the law required them to be added. Value of any gun depends on make, model, and condition. Depending on the condition of your rifle, these could run $50-$125.

It was manufactured by Savage/Stevens sometime between 1920 and 1948. THIS IS A MODEL 15, BOUGHT BY DAD, AND GAVE TO ME. I AM NOW 72
what is the value today
it was made between 1903 and 1907
There was a long production line of 45/70 trapdoors in model 1873. To locate the year of production you must use the serial number of your trapdoor. The value depends on overall condition and if it's a carbine or rifle. The rifle value is est. $500 - 700 plus or minus. Carbines are $1200 and up.
