Look on the back of the coin to see if there's a small mint mark letter below the eagle. It may be blank or there may be a CC or S.

Numismedia lists the following approximate retail values as of 10/2010:

No mint mark (Philadelphia):

Very worn condition - $1,520

Moderately worn - $1,570

Slightly worn - $1,630

Almost no wear - $1,682

Uncirculated - $1,760 to $6,240 depending on quality

"CC" mint mark (Carson City):

Very worn - $1,540

Moderately worn - $1,840

Slightly worn - $1,910

Almost no wear - $4,116

Uncirculated - $7,380 to $53,330

"S" mint mark (San Francisco):

Very worn - $1,520

Moderately worn - $1,570

Slightly worn - $1,630

Almost no wear - $1,682

Uncirculated - $1,760 to $12,520

DISCLAIMER: The retail values quoted are the best available, but may vary due to market fluctuations. Also the wholesale (buying) price of a coin will be less than the selling (retail) price. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation based on inspection of the coin.
