Springfield Armory still produces M14 clone rifles. They are in semi (full auto is inacurate anyways) and are called M1A1's.

THE M14 IS A SEMI/ FULL AUTO RIFLE IN 7.62x51 CALIBER and it took people down in one shot. The M14 cartridge (bullet) delivered approximately twice the power of the M16. The M14 rifle was also more rugged, because it was made from steel, versus the M16, which used aluminum. The M14, though, was much heavier than the M16, at 11 pounds versus 8 pounds for the M16. The M14 also required less maintenance due to its gas piston design versus the M16 direct gas impingment system. The M16 gas system was simpler, but produced more fouling of the rifle inner workings. Both the M16 and M14 were deadly weapons. Each weapon has it advantages and disadvantages.

Durability and accuracy do not necessarily go together. Military firearms, such as the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, M14 (OK, so the M14 is also full auto) and the SKS are incredibly durable. However, for accuracy, I am partial to the Browning BAR family of rifles. They are also pretty durable.

I would go with the UTG M14 AEG Electric Sniper Rifle Wood, because it is electric, which means that it has both Semi and Full Auto modes; where the UTG MK96 Shadow Ops Spring Rifle will be Single shot only. The answer would depend on what kind of a game you are wanting to play. The M14 would provide a more open ended platform for play, as you can play in full aeg mode and provide cover fire, and then go to semi mode and do some sniping. If you are wanting to only play as a sniper, you might want to go full out and get a designated sniper rifle and all the kit. Personally I would probably agree with the first poster and go with the m14 simply for a more versatile weapon. Most serious snipers go with a bolt action spring rifle for power and reliability.
