4 and 1/2 feet by the Canadian Carvers Association (CCC). They carved the pencil from a solid oak tree stump and then drilled a hole down the middle. They then melted graphite and poured it into the hole and let it solidify. The pencil had to be sharpened with a bulldozer.

A bunch of guys from 15 countries built a pencil in 2 weeks using over 8,000 board feet of wood, 4,500 pounds of 10-inch graphite. They also made a 250 pound eraser with their two main carpenters and it took them a full day to sharpen the point of the pencil using a Sawzall, axes, and a grinding machine!
