The Marlowe Academy (previously the Ramsgate School and previous to that Cunningham School) in Ramsgate was listed as the 7th worst School in the Country in 2012. This is better than in 2011 when it was the second worst, so it is improving slightly. The School cannot be blamed as it has been rebuilt at the cost of 34 million pounds. The catchment area is what brings it down as it is one of the poorest in the Country.
