Usually referred to as a 3-prong plug if we are talking about a normal home electrical issue. It is a "male plug" which fits into a "female receptacle". It has one rounded prong (Earth ground) and two spade like prongs which are "Hot" and "Neutral". The orientation of the third grounding prong insures that the Hot and Neutral are corrected properly to your appliance. This is most important when the appliance has a metal outside to reduce shock hazard.

In typical installations Black wire is connected to Hot, White to Neutral and Green to Ground. Neutral and Ground are bonded together at your electric box so at any outlet the resistance (as measured by an Ohm Meter) would be quite low.

A three-pin plug contains of neutral plug(left),live plug(right)and earth plug(up). The live wireis usually in the color of brown while earth wire is in the colour of green and yellow, and neutral wire is in the colour of blue.Live plug is connected with the elctrical supply. The live wire carries a voltage which drives an electric current through the electric appliance. The neutral wire offers a re-turn way for electric wire while the earth wire is a safety deivce. It protects us from electric shock in case an electric appliance is faulty.

There no such thing as a "three way electrical plug". However, there are "switched outlets" (plugs) where the bottom "plug" of the receptacle is fed power full time and the top half is switched from a light switch. This is how you can walk into a room and switch on a lamp plugged into a wall receptacle. The switched half of the receptacle can be wired into a three way switch circuit. This would be a "three way switched receptacle". In this way, in a room with two entrances, you can walk in one door, switch on a plugged in lamp and exit by the other door and switch off the lamp from a second 3 way switch.

How do you adapt a 3 prong German plug to fit into a 3 prong US 230 dryer outlet?

German appliances don't have three pinned plugs. The standards are the "Schoko" plug, which is a two pin plug with contacts on the side as a ground connection and the "Euro plug which is a two pin plug without a ground connection. There are adapters available at most good electrical stores.

What is the difference between a 4 prong dryer outlet and a 4 prong stove outlet?

The four blade dryer plug brings a separate ground wire from the machine to the electrical grounding system. The three blade dryer plug depended on the neutral wire of the plug to make this connection.

How many electrical outlets required in a room?

Most standard household outlets are rated to handle up to 15 amps current. A 20 amp 120V outlet has a 'sideways T' looking slot for one of the prongs. That way you can plug in a standard plug, which requires less than 20 amps, or a special 20 amp plug, with one of the prongs sideways.

Is there any digital type of ener.... means like in calculators electrical energy is converted into digital energy......?

No, there's no such thing as "digital energy". The calculator simply uses electrical energy. However, electronic equipment that are plugged into the electrical outlet (including calculators, radio receivers, computers, and many more) need special adapters to adapt the electrical current as follows:1. The voltage from the outlet, 110 or 220 volt, is way too high. Electronic equipment usually needs voltages somewhere around 3-12 volts. A simple transformer would do, but:2. The voltage for electronic appliances has to be DC. Since the electricity from the outlet is AC, that has to be converted too.No, there's no such thing as "digital energy".
