It is a RPD (removable partial denture) design that aims to improve the esthetics associated with retentive clasping and traditional RPD design in the esthetic zone. The concept uses wrought wire to engage an .010 undercut from the palatal/lingual with no facial clasping arm - so you essentially see no metal clasping when the RPD is placed in the oral cavity.

The framework incorporates a channel where the wrought wire is attached (via spot welding, soldering, etc) and housed after the framework is cast. They can be very tedious to fabricate but if done correctly they offer a nice alternative to conventional clasping.

How do you tell if a snowboard is twin tip?

There are two types of twin boards- a true twin and a directional twin. A true twin means the board is 100% symmetrical. The stance is centered, the flex is even, and the sidecut is radial. This is the shape you find mostly on freestyle boards. A directional twin has twin tips and sometimes a centered stance, but the flex is directional and/or the sidecut is progressive. This is the most versatile shape and is commonly found on all-mountain snowboards.

What part of speech is clasp?

That depends. A "clasp" could be a holding device, such as a "tie clasp." A tie clasp is the metal bar men wear to keep their tie in place. It could also be a verb. This is illustrated in the statement; "Please clasp your hands together."
