This terminology usually refers to pad mounted transformers. A "radial feed " transformer is a transformer that has one bushing for the high voltage cable line. The high voltage cable terminates into the transformer through the transformer's bushing. There is no second bushing for the high voltage cable to continue further down the line. This type of transformer is usually on the end of a loop feed circuit. This is different from a "loop feed" transformer whose incoming cables are terminated at the primary bushings. On this type of transformer there is a second bushing which connects to the outgoing primary voltage cables that allows the primary to feed another transformer. The bushing acts as an insulator to prevent a short circuit. In North America it is the standard electrical service connection voltages. Usually a pole mounted transformer supplies this voltage. In newer subdivisions the trend is turning to pad mount transformers which allows the primary voltage lines to be underground. Looking at the transformer you will see three insulator bushings. The first and third bushing are the working voltage (house connections 240 volts). The middle bushing is a center tap. This gives a voltage of (bushing left to center 120 volts) and (bushing center to bushing right 120 volts) These are the the three wires that come into a house for its 120/240 volt service.

Your use of the word "bushings" implies you are dealing with a high-voltage transformer (over 600 volt). A three phase STEP-DOWN transformer normally has 3 bushings on the Primary side regardless of whether it is star-delta or another type. The Secondary side might have 3 or 4. A single phase transformer normally has 2 bushings on the Primary side and 2 or 3 on the Secondary side. If the transformer is being used to STEP-UP, it would be reversed from above. If this does not answer your question, I need more info.
