it is used almost everywhere!
Hydropower is the energy captures from moving water and it has been used since the beginning of time. It is typically used to make electricity and often comes from dams.
Once hydroelectric power is placed on the wires and stepped up to the transmission system level, it can power anything that can be powered by any other means. Let me let you in a little secret; hydro power can clear itself from a dead system and power itself, and then it can power a substation nearby to enable gas powered plants to get its themselves started -- to eventually bring an entire transmission system back to life. There is a use for hydro power.
To get electricity.
drinking water, lakes and ponds
hydro power is to power up homes in the world using water to make electricity.
Everything that conventionally generated electrical energy is used for can also be powered by hydroelectricity.
the hydropower was used by greeks and in 250 b.c
it is used in rivers by homeowners

Hydropower creates electricity.
it can be used y humans to create electricity for cities from turbines
International Hydropower Association's motto is 'Advancing Sustainable Hydropower'.
The sun plays an indirect role in hydropower generation by driving the water cycle. Solar energy heats the Earth's surface, causing water to evaporate and form clouds. When the clouds release rain, it replenishes water in rivers and lakes, which is then used to generate hydropower. So, the sun's impact on hydropower is in enabling water resources to be available for use in hydropower generation.
The purpose of hydropower is to generate electricity.
