Viscosity describes a fluid's resistance to flow or change in form, essentially measuring thickness of a liquid in everyday terms. The higher the viscosity the slower an object can pass though it; likewise, the lower the viscosity the faster an object will be able to move though it.
For example: You can move a spoon more easily though a bowl of water than through a bowl of honey. The water is less viscous (thinner) compared to the (thick) honey.
what is viscosity and how does it affect the fluidity of a liquid?
viscosity is a substances' internal resistance or friction that keeps it from flowing. If viscosity increases there is more friction so it flows slower than a substance with low viscosity.
The higher the viscosity, the less it will flow..
so something like water has a low viscosity, and something like custard has a high viscosity :)
hope i helped xx
The higher the viscosity, the slower the rate of diffusion. Think of a liquid trying to diffuse through a plate of water (low viscosity) versus a liquid trying to diffuse through a plate of agar (high viscosity)
A liquid or gas that can pass through something
flagellum
sublimation is when a solid directly turns into a gas without going through the liquid phase
The nutreint media which reamin in liquid form through out the culturing process is called liquid media. It is different to solid media in not having agar in it which is the solidifying agent used in medium prepration. Commonly prepare liquid media is nutrient broth which contain beef extract, partially digest protein (peptones) and sodium chloride.
The liquids with high viscosity flow slowly and liquids with low viscosity flow quickly.
The liquids with high viscosity flow slowly and liquids with low viscosity flow quickly.
Because liquids with a high viscosity flow slowly as to where a liquid with a low viscosity flow quickly
it affects the viscosity because the liquid changes the shape and turns it to a gas and the viscosity by change the form
Pressure and temperature are the two factors that affect flow and viscosity. Viscosity refers to the resistance of a liquid to the shear forces.
denser liquids tend to have more viscosity
allow substances to diffuse through it it moves faster than a liquid with a relatively high viscosity
Viscosity opposes the motion of an object through liquid.
Because liquids with a high viscosity flow slowly as to where a liquid with a low viscosity flow quickly
The property would be fluid or fluidity.
I think you may be talking about viscosity. The viscosity of a liquid is its resistance to flow, or its thickness. A less viscous liquid will flow more quickly than a more viscous fluid. As an example, water has very low viscosity and molasses has a high viscosity.
Viscosity is a property of liquids, showing that liquid's resistance to flow. A liquid with a high viscosity would mean it flowed slowly. A liquid with a low viscosity would mean it flows rather quickly.
