I would say that their isn't much wrong with facebook, as long as your parents agree with it.
If you are young your parents should have full access to you account, to see who you have added as friends.
Many people add people that they don't know on facebook and tell them their personal information.
So as long as you don't add anyone you honestly know, facebook is fine and safe.
For the past 3 weeks I haven't been able to log on to my Facebook account. All attempts to reset my password have failed....and all my email requests are responded to by what appear to be computer generated answers.
The notes I get say my email address is invalid which ironically is sent to the same email I've had for years.
Frustrated in Seattle....
I tryed to send a question to zynga. And was told my user name and password does not exist. So i tried to call and was refered to e-site again where user name and password is said not to exist. But i am able to use user name and password to play games. When i call and was refered to e-site. Recording then Hung up on me.
Facebook is a social network that was invented in 2004 and is thriving today.

Ah, but the questioner asked "what is up with it", normally a colloquialism that means "what is wrong with it". From a business point of view nothing - it is a very successful business - for itself and its real clients, mainly advertising agencies.
Otherwise there is enough up with it to make me, and many others, refuse to use it. Anything you put on there becomes its property and copyright. You have no real control over it, nor do you know what personal details have been used elsewhere, primarily to sell to advertising agencies. This is my personal prime objection.
It is hazardous - people have come unstuck by careless use in various ways. The most common seems to be placing photos that endanger or block employment applications or promotions. Another is complaining about your employer. Many companies monitor applicants' or employees' use of social network sites. Remember, your Facebook, Twitter, etc entries are public!
Chatting on a relatively anonymous forum like this, or those devoted to particular hobbies, is one thing. Splashing yourself widely across the internet is quite another, and since the Internet is not at all secure you can never be sure of the security of any personal information you place on line.
For a simple example, a friend old and wise enough to know better, I'd have thought, proudly placed photos on FB of a major piece of craftwork he'd completed, as a hobby. This attracted a number of enquiries about its value: genuine enthusiasts would not do that. My friend was savvy enough to delete those questions unanswered, but others may not have been so careful.
While going to facebook website, I am not getting the normal window. My window is same as bellow
