Acetone and white spirits can be dangerous by inhalation and are very flammable.
Acetone (womens nail polish remover) is fairly good, mineral spirits is better and xylene or gasoline or diesel are very good.
Yes, mainly there are 3 types of acetone: regular acetone, acetone with enriched formula, maximum strength acetone.
Acetone has no ingredients per se. Asking about the ingredients in acetone is like asking what the ingredients in water (H2O) are. If you take any atoms away from the molecule of acetone, it's no longer acetone. The chemical formula for acetone, however, is: (CH3)2 CO.
The number of acetone molecules is 24,843.10e23.
The solvent in the acetone( mostly found in polish remover) will allow the styrofoam to melt.
Nail polish remover is usually diluted acetone. Varnish remover is usually either toluene or mineral spirits.
So far I've heard that you can use acetone and from others that you can't, it will be too lumpy, best is n-heptane (or bestine rubber cement thinner). I just bought acetone and it doesn't work for me, I just get clumps of rubber in solution.
Acetone CAN damage paint; IT May not damage ALL paints. If you want to super clean your paint; say to remove oil from the road use mineral spirits, rags and gloves in a well ventilated area. The going will be slow but when your done wipe off remaining mineral spirits and wax the area.
Acetone takes nail polish off of most anything, but then you lose the coating and stain. So, use a non-acetone remover and/or mineral spirits. Most likely, you will have to restain and recoat the area.
White spirit is obtained by petroleum distillation.
Acetone will float in water because it has a lower density than water. A few other liquids which will float on water are: ethanol, ether, methylated spirits and olive oil. Some that will sink in water are: chloroform and mercury.
White spirits
NO, all you will have is thinner, less effective paint. Primer has a totally different makeup.

Depends what kind of glue it is. If white glue, immerse in water. If Krazy or Super glue, immerse in acetone. Goof Off often works when water or acetone don't.
No, because when you add acetone to acetone, all you are doing is adding more of the volume of acetone to acetone. You are just changing the amount of acetone, not anything chemically happening.
