Possibly your transmission isn't shifting out of 1st or 2nd. This is the 'safety default' when the Speed Sensor in the transmission goes bad. About $150 for a Transmission shop to fix (tranny doesn't need to be pulled).
They can test for this externally via the diagnostic port.
Rdrah states Green....Sorry, Rdrsh, but you got it wrong. Most 2000 Dodge Grand Caravans will have a collar around the cap, which states it's a special coolant. The coolant that they are referring to is a Red HOAT-type coolant. Do NOT put regular green coolant in the vehicle with this warning collar, 'cause you can damage the engine.
The pulley has probably gone bad. This is very common for Caravans. Try having the pulley replaced and see if that solves the problem.
You need to BClear. What is wrong with it?
$100 to over $1000, depends on what is wrong.
Depends what is wrong. On most of these you have to replace the entire part.
change the oil and it will go off BZzzzzzzT! Wrong ! This is a very common problem on older Caravans. The oil pressure sender is failing and needs to be replaced. Jim
2005 Dodge Grand Caravan. AC is not working. System was charged a short time ago, but alas, less than a week, the system doesn't work. What could be the problem?
I have no idea but I have the SAME problem in my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. I have taken it to three mechanics (Dodge included) and every time they look at it they say nothing is wrong, yet there IS something wrong!!! Mine also vibrates at higher speeds (Between about 70-100km/hr), the transmission has been checked and is fine. I wish I could get what ever is wrong fixed, it can't be good!!! 2) COULD BE YOUR DRIVE AXLE CV JOINTS
the y should lock auto matically at 20 mph or in gear this is a design feature normal to all caravans but if you dont like it it can be disacled with a drb III at local dealer with a educated technician
That could be the cam shaft position sensor.Check that out>
somebody had the wrong time.
You have a leak, without knowing what is leaking you can not get a quote.
