I own a 2000 year Thunderhawk in stainless steel with a composite stock. I have given it a value of about $300 or so. I have a Westfield scope on it, and a 209 primer conversion kit installed ($45). I shoot .429 Speer bullets with Hornady .50 caliber sabot wads...
I can make a smiley face at 50 yards and at 100 yards... watch out!

Yes. I've heard of it.
I bought one at a gun show for $85.00.
The shadows are selling around the $125 to 150 range depending on condition and extras (scopes etc.) book value places them at $160 to 220 in 80 to 95% condition.

While these are very well made firearms, the value of the traditional sidelock rifles has decreased as in-line muzzle loaders have become more popular. These can be found in very good condition for about $250. I shoot a T-C Hawken in 50 cal, and it is an excellent rifle.
You can order direct from Thompson Center or Dixie Gun Works also Midway USA. All have on line stores. You will need to know the model and caliber.
New? $300.
The value varies by condition and seller between $150 and $800.
A 'muzzle loader' is any firearm (or cannon) which does not have a breech mechanism and which is 'charged' (loaded with powder and shot) from the muzzle end of the barrel.
