There were blacksmiths, grinders, millers, stone carvers, tinsmiths, landlords, laborers (Like slaves) and, silk spinners. There was a shortage of skilled heavy equipment operators for the guillotine. Most jobs were as poor farmers. The 97% of the people were in the third estate, which before the revolution meant they were poor. But they had no say and were all struggling. The people farmed the land, gave a big percent of the crop to the lords/nobles, who gave a share to the king and the nobles and the king sat fat and happy all the time. Farmers were pretty much at risk of starving. That was actually a key point in the revolution. Some of those people came into power and became the middle class, but were still in the third estate because the weren't born into the 1st or 2nd estate.
There are many French speaking jobs in Alaska. Many of these are translation jobs, teaching jobs or cruise ship jobs.
