It depends on what type of robot is being referred to. There are some that are simple and some that are very complex. Robots are designed to do tasks that people may or not be able to do for themselves. They are used to build cars, dismantle bombs, pack boxes, answer phones, mow yards, explore deep sea ship wrecks and many other things.
Robots help us in 3 ways. First, they do the jobs that are dull. Second, they do jobs that are dangerous. Finally, they do the jobs that are dirty. Besides this, some robots (like RoboFisher) may be controlled at the distance of thousand miles away.
Robots are ideal for repetitive tasks, and for jobs that would be hazardous to human health. One example of a robotic task that is often seen, is multiple robot arms spray painting automotive bodies in a spray booth.
Robots do many jobs that are best.
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION ! (:
& YES I M ALSO STUCK ON HOME WORK ! :(

automotive, and welding fields.
Depends on what kind of robot. A simple robot that can be easily built into different robots is the LEGO Mindstorms NXT. Go to www.lego.com for more info.
Robots help engineers by lifting heavy weights or substances. Robots also help in construction or design of certain delicate things.
Just means generated by water power can be found in powerplants and factories
Factories often have three phase voltage, and higher voltage (480V) compared to homes. Three phase voltage is necessary for three phase induction motors, which are often used in factories. These are very rarely used in homes. Three phase power requires more equipment than single phase (2 or three step down transformers vs. one for single phase). Factories use higher than home voltages so wiring can be sized down and still provide the necessary power ( P = V*I ). Higher voltage equipment naturally costs more, and homes typically do not need the amount of power that would require excessively large guage wires, so it is more economical (and safer) to run lower voltage.
They were able to operate the entire day (24 hours).

China and Japan are the places where you find most of the robots being used, but in most automobilie factories there are robots in use. So they're not only in China and Japan. The more humanoid robots are primarily in China and Japan. Also there is robotics comititions where students build robots and battle them in multiple countries.

Robots make repetitive tasks which are made with extreme precision, which is not normally possible with humans. Also, there are some disorders regarding repetitive tasks made by humans, which suggests robots in factories is highly recommended. Dangerous tasks can also be made by robots, which in the past was the job of humans. Factory environments are usually harmful for human health. For example, dangerous gases which are inhaled by human workers or the psychological effect that factories have in human workers. The only bad thing about robots in factories is the fact that they take jobs from human workers (which is good for industries but not for workers).
Robots can help humans in any way! In the home, business, factories, and can do the most dangerous jobs that humans cant even do!
To give movies a more scientific feel or to make people wonder if robots could actually be used instead of humans which is what is happening at the moment in factories.
Mainly in factories because their work is constant and they don't need pay or benefits.
Car industries use robots, If that's what you mean. If not Google.com :)
Robots don't use bathrooms
Computers help robots do work faster and more precisely than humans.
Exploratory robots use motion, heat, and camera sensors.
ConclusionToday we find most robots working for people in industries, factories, warehouses, and laboratories. Robots are useful in many ways. For instance, it boosts economy because businesses need to be efficient to keep up with the industry competition. Therefore, having robots helps business owners to be competitive, because robots can do jobs better and faster than humans can, e.g. robot can built, assemble a car. Yet robots cannot perform every job; today robots roles include assisting research and industry. Finally, as the technology improves, there will be new ways to use robots which will bring new hopes and new potentials.
