Juries empanelled to hear cases in criminal couirts are known as PETIT JURIES. A petit jury is an old-fashioned name for the jury thst hears a lawsuit or criminal prosecution. Petit is the French term meaning "small", to distinguish it from a "grand" jury, which performs other duties, mainly to return an indictment or not. A person on a petit jury is part of the most common type of jury service. See: http://definitions.uslegal.com/p/petit-jury/
The jury is taken into a room where they take a vote, but the judge can reverse their decision.
They vote on it. If all 12 vote guilty, then the defendant is guilty. If they all vote not guilty, then the defendant is acquitted of the charge. If they do not all agree, then the jury is "hung", meaning they could not reach a decision and have to be replaced with a new one.
The jury that decides if a defendant is guilty or not is the petit jury. These are the people that sit and listen to all of the evidence from both sides, and then make a decision in the case.

That's it! There are no other verdicts. Guilty or Not Guilty is the only choice.
Yes, the verdict must be unanimous.
The jury can give two verdicts, guilty, or not guilty in a criminal trial. They are typically given a set of charges that they have to give a verdict on. Some allow them to convict on a lessor included charge. Meaning if someone is charged with first degree murder, they could convict of second degree murder. If the jury cannot decide on a verdict, it can be ruled a hung jury. At that point the trial can start all over again with a new jury. In a civil trial, the jury determine if they are liable or not liable.
Custody cases are cases that are not decided upon by a jury. Traffic court cases are also not cases decided upon by a jury.

Becuase, if I am correct, it must take all of the jury to convict someone of murder; unanimous means all.
The Jury.
a decided case is when the people decid if you go to jail or you have to pay a fine this is decided by a jury
By a jury of your peers, or if the accused waives trial by jury, then by the presiding judge.
For civil cases, two types of verdicts are rendered; general and special. The verdict need not be unanimous, a 3:4 will suffice. General verdict, the jury has decided the case either in favour of the defendant or the claimant (plantiff) Special verdict, a general decision is not announced (obviously) and rather the jury has answered certain factual questions, leaving the complete decision up to the court itself.
